Cozy sims to end the day on
There's a whole category of games designed to slow your heart rate, and I've come to appreciate them more than I expected. No score, no clock, just simple tasks done at your own pace.
Restoration and tinkering sims are my favorite of the bunch. Cleaning up a rusty vehicle or organizing a little workshop gives your hands something to do while your brain switches off. The touch gestures are half the pleasure.
The catch is they can get repetitive if you play them for hours. These are dessert games — a bit before bed, not a full meal. Rationed like that, they're genuinely soothing.
If your evenings feel wired, try swapping the doomscroll for twenty minutes of one of these. It sounds like a wellness cliché, but it actually works better than it has any right to.
