About

Pocket Lap started as a group chat where a few friends kept swapping screenshots of games they couldn't put down. At some point we figured we might as well write it all down properly, so here we are — a small independent site with no big publisher behind it.

We focus on racing, arcade, and everything nearby: the stuff you open for five minutes and close forty minutes later. Every game on the site gets real time on a real device. No copy-paste from press kits.

When we pick something to cover, we look at how it plays with one thumb on a bus, whether it respects your battery, and if it still feels fun after the novelty wears off. Genre variety matters too, so you'll see puzzles and RPGs sitting next to the drift games.

We're not trying to be the biggest gaming site. We just want the reviews to be the kind we'd trust ourselves.
